Sony MEX-BT 5100

Advantages: Stylish, Not Expensive
Disadvantages: Hard to use at first, Difficult to Set-Up

...Sony Stereo - MEX-BT2600 This is the upgrade to the MEX-BT2500 which was a very popular stereo and still is. This new model is a cool looking stereo from the quality and trusted brand Sony, it is stylish to look at both when turned off and on. After always having Sony stereos when this new one came out we decided we'd get if for our Renault Laguna, the old one had worked with the steering wheel controls but unfortunately this one doesn't as you have to buy a separate cable to connect it up to your steering wheel controls. ...I hope I can do this unit justice - it deserves all the praise it gets! After messing around trying to connect my MP3 player to my Ford head unit (with some success), I decided to have a look around at what was on offer. To my amazement I found this fantastic head unit at about the £150 mark in Halfords. I decided to treat myself and purchased the head unit and also a kit so I could still use the steering wheel stalk controller. Wow I feel treated now! The BT3600 is a truly amazing piece of kit - I won't mention all the functions as there are so many - numerous websites have them listed if you search the model name.It goes without saying that the sound quality is excellent and display is clear - layout of the buttons slightly improved over previous Sony head units. ...Sony MEX-BT 2500 We bought one of these to replace our older Sony stereo, we did not purposely go out looking for this stereo but decided to take a look around Halfords and this one caught our attention, so we bought this Sony.
