The Sony MD MZ-G750

Sony, the name just screams greatness.
This like any other Sony product is great. I have friends that have other brands of MD's and they don't hold a candle to this one. Even though this MD is not top spec, it does all the things you need it to do.
Facilities
Built in digital FM/AM tuner.
When you get bored of your mindisc's you can switch on the radio and listen to that. If you need to check the football results or even listen to the match it self.

MDLP.
Allows you to record up to 320 minutes of music. You can record digitally from a CD player, DVD player, etc. Via an optical cable (supplied), but the source must have an optical output.

Up to 48 hours battery life.
Depending on the mode you recorded it in

LCD remote control.
This comes in handy. When the MD player is in the belt clip you cant get to the buttons. The remote has volume and radio buttons. It has a switch for hold and a like roll switch for skip, play and pause functions.

G Protection - jog proof.
I have dropped, banged and shook my MD player but it is yet to skip.

Analogue recording level control.
It allows you to turn the volume of the recording up and down if recording using a phono to stereo lead.

Digital mega bass.
A good thing about all Sony personal stereo products I have bought the bass is amazing providing you have a good set of headphones (best to use in ear headphones).

Monaural recording.
This is the alternative to recording in stereo. I can't say much about it because I've never used it.

Repeat.
Same as repeat on your home stereo.

Repeat 1.
Allow you to repeat just one track.

Shuffle repeat.
This plays tracks randomly and doesn't stop until you press stop. It will just keep repeating.

Name editor function.
Allows you to name your tracks. The track name shows up on the main unit and if you have a home MD system with MD editor function it displays it on it.

Remaining battery indicator.
Tells you how much battery is left. Personally I never pay any attention to it, but there again my battery I always running out on me.

In ear fontopia headphones.
Good quality headphones with a small length of wire that plugs into your remote.

Rechargeable battery.
This is a must it eats normal batteries (Panasonic) for breakfast.

Carry case.
Handy if you have small pockets or don't want to scratch it.

Mains adapter.
I do all my recording using the mains adapter because it run out your battery very fast.

Enough with all the specs, all you need to know is that it is great and all you people out there that have cd players need to save up and go and buy a MD player/recorder.

It's only right to point out its bad points.
When recording in LP2 and LP4 the sound quality does suffer.
The reception for the radio isn't too clever.
If you use big headphones you loose the sharpness of the treble.
If recording five hours you have to sit and wait for five hours.
