Advantages: Last a long time when charged properly. Disadvantages: Nothing really.
Hello and welcome. Other than watching DVD's as a hobby I am a keen amateur photographer and to be honest one of the things I hate is carrying packs of Duracell batteries around with me as I find them cumbersome. When I bought my new digital camera, a Sony Cybershot H2, I was surprised with what I received with them.

When I opened the box, I had the instruction manual and everything relevant, but also two rechargeable batteries as well. These types of batteries are the ones that are received with a battery charger as standard when you purchase from the Sony Cybershot camera range.
They look like any other AAbatteries as naturally the size is the same, but the packaging is a bright orange and blue in colour and are truly distinctive that these are part of the Sony range.

to make it work again - these seemed to remedy this.
To re-charge the batteries, I use a Uniross Ni-Cd & NiMHbattery charger that I purchased by recommendation at the same time as the batteries. It takes about 4-5 hours for batteries to fully charge, which isn't bad considering they then last for weeks. The batteries can be charged up to 1,000 times.
After the success of the AAbatteries, we now use primarily all Uniross batteries to control our battery-fuelled appliances, including Uniross AAA batteries for our television, VCR and DVD remote controls, which last about 6 months.

the batteries in things that aren't Wii related but that just seems to be the thing in our house which drains batteries so it's ideal for that.
You can buy four AANi-MHbatteries for around £10 and as mentioned earlier we paid £16.99 for our charger which still seems to be the price on play.com
