I am 19 years old and own my flat. I like music, TV and going clubbing. My favourite possesion is my P.C. and I have no idea where I'd be without the Internet and my mobile phone!

This is a very slim and stylish portable Mini-Disc player. It comes with more features than any other player / recorder Iv'e seen around. The unit comes with a "remote" control that can be clipped onto your jacket while you are walking allowing you to select tracks, change volume without getting the unit out of your pocket. The control stick also has a display that you can look at to see the name of the song you are listening to. Aside from that, using the unit is a complete doddle. To record tracks from your PC, you simply connect the device to your PC via a supplied USB cable, and use the software to select which tracks you want to copy over to the device. A song can be transfered in around 20 seconds, after the software has encoded it to "mini-disk format". Even if you do not have a PC, the device comes with an optical lead, that you can plug into your Hi-Fi and it allows you to record songs to your mini-disk in super clear quality. The MZ-N910 can also record tracks in a a sort of long play mode, which can give double or quadruple disk length time. So for a standard 74minute mini-disk you can have 148minutes or 296 minutes of music. The manual does state that using the long play format will cause sound degration, however in my experience, the difference in quality is not really worth bothering about. The player has loads of useful features built in. It comes with a 6 mode graphic equalizer, allowing you to chose how your music sounds, the unit allows you to store to of your own, customised, equalizer settings. The player comes with a rechargable battery, which is extremely slim, and last for hours and hours (ive never been able to run it out!), however, if you know that you are going to be using it for some time, it also comes with an accessory that allows you to connect an extra battery onto the bottom, which can be used instead of, or in addition to the rechargable battery. Another useful thing that Sony have thrown in is a charging cradle. If you ddo not have a Mini-Disk in your Hi-Fi and will be connecting you Mini-Disk to your audio system, then the unit will sit neatly in a little cradle which you can plaug into the mains, ensuring that your player will not topple over or run out of battery while recording or playback through your Hi-Fi system. (It also look a lot nicer!) In summing up, I have thrown good money at bad in the past purchasing personal audio equipment, and I can safely say that this has been the best purchase I have ever made. It looks good, sound excellent, and does exactly what it says on the box and more. An excellent portable audio solution! One little thing that does annoy me about any of these players is that due to the fact they are made of some sort of aluminium, the unit is prone to scratches and scuffs. Sony have included a carrying case. I highly reccomend that this case is used, otherwise your unit will be come marked!
