This is my third minidisc recorder I have owned and it is by far the best. I have read on other reviews that the volume isn't high enough but I think it's fine, unless you want to make yourself deaf of course! There is a great 6 band graphics equaliser which you can adjust with ease to your favourite sound. The remote control is very user friendly but I seemed to have a problem with the connection so needed to send it back, the remote control that is not the player.
You can fit any type of earphone with a small stereo jack into it, it just has an extra port by the side of the headphone socket for the additional info for the remote control needs.
I have a high quality microphone and have found that recordings made with it have been very good quality and the function itself is very very easy to use.
The model I bought has the same model number (MZ N910/S) as the one this review is written for but mine is mettalic blue, so the picture on this review is reffering actually to a different model, the MZ N910/L which is silver.
You will not be dissapointed whichever colour you choose!!!
Post Script: I bought mine online from Empire Direct and even though their staff are very helpful and the product is cheaper, when buying off the internet it is wise to remember that if something does go wrong you can't take it into the shop and ask for a replacement if something goes wrong.

Advantages: Looks Good, Compact, Easy to use, light and generally stylish Disadvantages: not many, other than if it isnt looked after and kept in its pouch it could get scratched.
