Well not going into too much detail about the actual specs of this great machine, it is the fastest machine to be developed by sony. not only that, but it is also not as expensive as some of its brother and sister products.

Features

World`s fastest net MD 64X music transfer

5min music in 5 second

Up to 114 hours playback

Slim & compact full aluminium body

Back lit LCD remote

Stylish charging cradle

Date and stamp function

DPC

Melody timer

Say hello to the world's fastest NetMD model, the MZ-N910. The MZ-N910 can transfer music files 64x faster than real time, meaning that five minutes of music can be transferred in just five seconds. This model has a slim, full aluminium body and comes supplied with a charging cradle that has UBC connection. For improved editing and operability the N910 has a jog dial, five-position control and a three-line Dot-matrix LCD display to allow for easy searching and text editing. Digital Pitch Control (DPC) allows the user to change the playback speed without altering sound pitch alteration.
The MZ-N910 offers VPT (Virtual Phone Technology--Virtual Sound Mode), a six-band equaliser, ATRAC TYPE-S Digital Sound Processor, Bookmark function, Group function, MDLP and G-Protection and is also supplied with a silver back-lit LCD remote controller. The MZ-N910 boasts a battery life of up to 114 hours (rechargeable battery and external dry battery case is supplied) and is available in both silver and blue. ( But i personally like the silver one , it's more STYLISH)

The MZ-N910 comes supplied with the new operating Sonic Stage software, which features an improved Graphic User Interface (GUI) making it easier to store tracks. The software is also backwards compatible with OpenMG jukebox software so play lists can be automatically updated. It also allows users to access the Gracenote CDDB music recognition service website to download track information such as album, artist or song titles.

Once the tracks have been stored using the Sonic Stage software on the PC, they can be transferred onto a Net MD Walkman. The MZ-N910 can record MP3, WMA and WAV files, which, once downloaded and transferred to MiniDisc are converted to Sony's high-quality ATRAC3 compression format.

basically to cut a long story short, if you want to go for a stylish, sleek, compact but packed with features along with the highest quality of sound but at the same time not have to seel you house to purchase one, go for the Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-N910/s. It's as good as the rest but at a fraction of the price.. that's what lured me to it..and now i have one and its working a treat.

good luck with what you choose but if you choose this you won't regret it.

one thing i'd like to point out though, is that because it's silver and stylish you'd want to take it out of the pouch ( that comes with it) to show to your friends. If you do take it out remember to put it back in so that the wind doesn't " accidentally" blow it out of your hands and it gets scratched..

otherwise great product. get my thumbs UP!
