Just how many mp3 players are needed in this world? I ask you? Well come on I'll tell you then. Only one. The ipod. This machine is really too small. 128 megs of expensive sony memory (£40 average) is barely enough to record yourself ranting about how small the memory is. Ok so it's got a direct USB connection but what the hell, eh? You can't put enough music on the thing. On the plus side, it's made of aluminium which is good, tactile stuff. But it's cold. I'd love to see one of these things made of wood.
It will play wav files and mp3's but really you'd have trouble fitting too many wavs on there, considering that you get 10megs per minute of wav quality sound, you'd only get two six minute songs on this box. With mp3 it's a different story but still the thing's not very big.
This would appeal to the user who's more interested in looks than function, and judging by modern television programmes there are plenty of you! Enjoy!

Sounds rather useless then. What's the basic difference between a wav and an mp3 then anyway - I've never really 'got it'? Welcome to Ciao. Sharron xxx
