I got my MS70D just over a year ago, and for a year i was not disappointed.

The main distinctive feature of this music Player is its looks, they are stylish even for Sony. It'll impress anywhere.

The second most destinctive feature has got to be the compression. Sonys Atrac3 encoding is an improvement on any encoding i have used to date, infact I am going to buy another Sony just so I can carry on using the Atrac 3 technology. This technology is so effective it allowed me to store upto two hundred tracks on just the 256mb on board memory, this could not be achieved without the Atrac3 encoding. Although transferring it to a 48KBps quality (the most compressed there is) does of course lose some of the quality it isnt anywhere near as much as if I was using the more mainstream MP3/WMA. And if that is not enough theres the memory stick duo expnsion aswell. Though the memory sticks do tend to be expensive.

The worst point I can make about these players is there delicate. I dont leave it on a desk when i listen to music I like it to be in my pocket while im doing everything, this did not bode well for my player. For a year i had no problems but then unfortunately It broke, also Sony will no longer do instore repair,. Overall this is a very good player, jus dont move much

I'm looking for an mp3 player and this sounds good! What's the battery life like, how much does it cost? x

Good review, you mention that it is expensive, but how expensive is it, it might be useful to add the price in.
