There has been so much arguments over which console is better the PS3 or the XBOX 360. I looked into which console has what features and their way of communicating to the audience. Also which console has the better online game play and their prices. First I’ll be explaining the functions and features of the SONY PLAYSTATION 3 and then the functions and features of the XBOX 360.
SONY PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3)
There is more then one version of the PS3 in the UK. They vary from £300 to £399, some contain a 40GB hard drive and others go to 60 or even 80GB and can connect with or without wires to the internet for online game play. PLAYSTATION® Network is free and enables you to play online game play for free and surf the internet without having a computer. The consol has USB ports for connecting external devices such as cameras, MP3 players and hard drives. Controllers for the PS3 are wireless which can be charged via a USB cable. The PS3 plays high-definition Blu-ray discs, as well as standard DVDs and CDs. It also can play digitally stored films as well as music and photos, and can access these from other computers on the network.
XBOX 360
Microsoft's machine can be purchased in three versions, the cheapest of which £160 comes with no hard drive just with a memory card which is 64MB. For storage of digital files, you will need either the 20GB or 120GB versions of the console which’s varies from £200 to £260. The hard drives are also sold separately (£40 or £80). All machines have USB ports to enable the connection of external devices such as cameras and MP3 players. All machines can be connected to the internet using standard ethernet cables; you can also purchase a wireless internet adapter which is available for an additional £55. XBOX LIVE, there are two different version’s sliver and gold membership. Sliver membership enables to still talk with your online friends but doesn’t enable to play online game play. Where as the gold membership allows you to communicate with online friends, play online game play, download movies, themes, backgrounds, pictures, game demos and betas. Throughout my report I have gone in detail about the SONY PLAYSTATION 3 and the XBOX 360. I have discovered a lot about the two products which are on the UK’s shop floors. From my interest, I have to chosen the SONY PLAYSTATION 3 as it is better and more efficient for my needs because it has the latest Linux software which is able to surf the internet, play online games, download demos, music, pictures and many more. On the other hand the XBOX 360 also has these functions but it is not on the level and the standards of the Blu-ray disc reader.

(+) Plenty of storage space, for media. Good Games, Great for partys, with singstar. Very Reliable. (-) Sometimes the optical drive, breaks; but not very likely, my 60gb still working after 2 1/2 years.
Nice review. I prefer to the Xbox though since despite its reliability problems (which have been largely sorted now) it is much better designed architecturally, a fact that is proven through its better visuals in 99% of multi platform games. I still love the PS3 for its exclusives though. :)
