(+) Plenty of storage space, for media. Good Games, Great for partys, with singstar. Very Reliable. (-) Sometimes the optical drive, breaks; but not very likely, my 60gb still working after 2 1/2 years.

In terms of volume I dont have a problem with it. Obviously it's no surround sound system but for it's size it can make alot of noise. It also has pretty good sound quality as well and doesn't sound hollow like some portable game consoles do. There is also a headphone socket which fits most types of head phones for when you don't want to disturb the rest of the train. 5/5
Range of Extra Features
This is where it truly shines, theres pretty much nothing it can't do in the world of portable devices. It can play music and videos, both of which can be added to it from your PC through the use of a USB cable. There is a video-out port for when you want to use your TV's larger screen and speakers. It can access wifi to browse as well as to use it's messenger. You can also get films to watch on it. 5/5
Ease of use
Can't really get much simpler, put the game in and turn it on, no need for an instruction manual. There is also a feature in which the PSP saves where you are if you turn it off mid-game, providing it has power, which is helpful in any case but is amazing for those games that only offer start and end of level saving, which annoys the hell out of me I just have to add. If you turn it on without a game in it boots to an easy to navigate home menu which allows you to access a wide range of extra features (previous title). It is also quite erganomic, it does not force you to bring your hands very close together as many portable games consoles and mobile phones do. 5/5
Manufacturer Support
There is a booklet of trouble shooting that comes with the PSP that seems to address any possible problem you could encounter but, as far as I can see, no helpline to call etc. 2/5
Value For Money
Well worth it, will eliminate bordem whenever you are forced to sit in one place for any extended period of time, such as public transport. 5/5

A nice little buy, I now take this pretty much everywhere with me, waiting has never been more fun. 5/5

...really right for everything? Sony seem to think so, having released the Slim+Lite Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable). Replacing the original model, the new version is marginally slimmer but a whopping 91 grams lighter than its predecessor. That is a weight difference you can feel.
Despite this plastic liposuction, however, Sony have managed to keep all the features of the PSP in place. Whilst it is apparently 19% thinner than the previous version, ... ...In updating the PSP, Sony set about addressing the faults of the earlier model. The most prominent one was the load time achieved for each game. As all Sony consoles rely on disc technology to run their games, load times can suffer while the machine scans the disc for the next relevant part of the game. I got this about a year ago and I play it all most all the time when I'm out and about anyway on with the review.
Features
The PSP has many great features for example the internet option which you need an access point or hot spot for.
Some of the other features include the downloaded games, video, music and pictures options which you can download from the official PSP website from your PSP ... ...PSP website which has more downloads. The full PSP website includes the original Play Station 1 games like crash bandicoot these cost money to download but you can get the trailers and demos for free.
Memory
With the PSP you have the option to insert a memory stick duo into it which you can add movies pictures to view through your PSP. For the films you can buy a UMD disk.

The original PSP was a great idea. It was to be the best portable gaming and entertainment system available and had no real competition. Although the nintendo DS managed to win the race to launch their system with its amazing touch screen capability and also great idea for a games console months before the PSP, the PSP had no trouble selling when it hit stores. When it was released it sold out of stores and generated massive queues at ... ...one. The PSP quickly became very popular and continued selling out of stores until just after the xmas period. The PSP could play games which used graphics to rival the original Playstation system and in many cases the graphics were actually better. You could also buy UMD movies so you could watch your favourite films on the move. It was also an MP3 player and could play PSP MPEG4 video clips and you could also store you images onto the PSP. The PSP Slim is an amazing hand held console, without a doubt ,the best hand held on the market at the moment. It has many features including MP3 & MP4 playback, Internet capabilities, USB port, camera software (although the camera add on is not included with the psp), abilty to save, and many other functions. The PSP has a huge variety of games available, something to cater for all tastes; some of the popular titles include Tomb Raider Anniversary, ... ...My advice is to not buy a PSP from a store, but to buy one online from E-Bay in order to obtain a PSP that has been uploaded with custom firmware. This will then upen up whole new gaming capabilites, enabling you to be able to download and play a variety of homebrew games by saving them to the PSP's memory stick. It will also allow you to be able to download and play several retro emulators on the PSP such as the Sega Megadrive, GameBoy and Snes ...

...memory card from an old sony ericsson phone i had, so saved a bit of cash there.
The games available for it are good and there is a wide choice availale for the kids as well as adults for when dad wants a shot!, so are the movies. The picture and sound quality of it really are quite good for such a small console, it can almost double as a small portable dvd player, although it obviously doesn't play dvd's, the films available for it as umd are quite ... ...actually seems quite loud and if your son is playing it right beside you I would recommend you get headphones for it, which is another good feature. Handy for if they are using it to listen to music or watching a film on it.
The graphics quality is really good, just as good as watching tv to be honest just a smaller screen, but all in all I would say this is a good buy. I would shop around for deals and packages available as the price can vary quite ...
