I was bought my ebook reader as a birthday present, and initially I wasn't all that impressed (although i didnt tell my girlfriend that) It appeared to be nothing more than a slow PDA without much of the functionality. I was pleasantly surprised to find I was wrong, it is a fantastic little tool, with a crisp clear display, and basically, it does exactly what it says on the tin, it lets you read pretty much anything you want (provided waterstones has it) for a low price, it plays music, it has an internal flash memory drive, it has memory expansion slots, and it uses no power to maintain its display so conscequentially the battery lasts forever, I've read 3-4 novels on mine with no need for a recharge. It does however have a slightly annoying screen refresh (the whole screen goes dark for a split second on every turn of the page) and it lacks a highlighting tool, although there is a button which will save your bookmarks, which is very useful for referencing textbooks.
Anyway to conclude it is a good piece of kit which will serve you well, provided you dont mind shelling out on waterstones.com for content
