When I first purchased the Sony Portable Reader, it was an impulse buy and a treat for myself, to keep u with my gadget addicted partner. It was not till after I got it home and started using it that I realised how much the Reader was going to change how a read a book. Was amazed by how easy it was to use and read from. The writing is so easy to read and with the application that allows the print to be larger any one should be able to read comfortably from it. From other reviews I had read it had been discussed that the Reader was found to be slow when switching to the next page. I however did not find this a problem at all and feel those who wrote that review were just trying to be picky. There is a slight pause when changing the page, but no more than when changing the page of a actual book and was the timing has been gotten used to can easily be timed to reduce the pause even more so. I use my Reader all of the time now although found it most satisfying when on the bus on the way to college. This was a long journey of around 40-45 minutes one way so I need quite large books to make sure I don’t finish before the end of my day. It was much easier being able to carry around the Reader that I have around 135 books on than an 800 page book. The only thing I dislike about the Reader is not even really the Reader it’s self. It’s the price of e-books I feel they are too expensive considering the price of the Reader I feel the e-books should reduced as they do not need printing or packaging. I would recommend this appliance to keen readers as whilst the e-books are still expensive would be a waste for someone that does not read often. I have been able to recommend this product to many of my close friends and family. In my opinion this should be recommended to anyone who was considering buying any type of Portable Reader as many others are having lots more functions like music and pictures which are not need at all.

sister and bro in law swear by them. I am a bit more of a traditionalist where books are concerned, although I do get it for holiday reading, to save the heavy packing.

You don't mention battery time, size, connectivity, where to purchase and how to get e-books on the device. Does it charge from a computer? When powered off, does it remember where you were in the book? How heavy is it, will it fit in a pocket? This is all key selling points you have missed in your review.
