it is great thing that has four times high speed recording facility for quicker editing time. Simple one touch record button: optical digital in/out for pure digital quality sound. Also supplied with remote control and headphone socket.
CD copying is fast, and without the delay in finalising that I've experienced with other models. It's also equipped with useful features for playback such as relay play (great for playing both discs of all those greatest hits albums out lately). Remote control is fully featured without being difficult to use
CD to CD at copying at 4x speed causes slight compromises to sound quality. Digital output didn't work on my friend's Marantz AV amp when he borrowed the player - this is apparently an issue Sony are aware of. C.D. text entry is fiddly, would have benefited from the PS/2 keyboard socket they've got on some of their MD players.
