I have always wanted someway to keep all my media and films together and playable from the main TV in my house, and when I saw this I knew that this was the solution to my problem I can now get rid of all those old VHS tapes and have all my favourite content in one place and be playable from my home theatre. And I can also record all the programmes I like to watch off the TV so I never miss any of my favourite programmes again, this recorder has built in freeview and an EPG (electronic programme guide) so I can set this up to record a whole series of the programme I want to record so that I don’t have to watch it once a week, I can save them until the end and watch them over a couple of days so I don’t have to try and remember what happened over a week ago (which is good for me because I have a horrible memory).
Also this player reads almost all the media types I can think of and will read almost any disk there is, so I can play all the content I have stored on my DVD, CDs etc (more about the compatible read/write formats will be below). And with the amount of connections this thing has it will fit to most if not all TV’s to give you a great media centre where you can play all your media.
As well as recording to DVD, CDs etc the player has a built in HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and the HDD is 160 GB, The 160 GB hard drive can hold a maximum recording of 455 hour(s) of video which is very impressive. Just think you could most likely fit all the videos you like on there (well if your as picky as me lol).

Overall I think that this media player/writer is an excellent product and is a must have for the home theatre. And as movie fanatics will agree this is a great product to both watch and record your media with. Just imagine all your media in one place no more switching between DVDs and CDs or the old VHS, you can just navigate through the HDD and find what you like without leaving the comfort of your seat, I don’t know about you but that sounds great to me lol. And I recommend this product to anyone who would like to build a home theatre or who just loves TV, DVDs, CDs, MP3s or other media.
