Advantages: Great stylish looks, and easy to set up and use Disadvantages: Price is a bit expensive
...Ever wanted a great DVD player that you can record onto disks. Well its here and this is an outstanding piece with great looks and a great price beaten no where this cannot be missed.
This Player can do everything imaginable it has great visual quality and great sound quality I bought one just looking for any old DVD player , I thought that I was just paying for the Sony name, You know how you always want everything to match but I found that this is well worth the money I paid for it. It should be a definative YES for any first time buyer.
So everyone make sure you buy this product it is definately worth every hard earned penny of your wallet....

Advantages: It looks cool and is simple to use. Disadvantages: None really.
...This is an exellent piece of equipment.
I got it at a reasonable price and i think it is worth buying if you are looking for simplicity, style and a popular brand. Sony has a very large range of electronics and, to me, this is one of their very good ones. i advise you read the easy-to-follow instructions first, but when you understand them it is easy to use and has no tough, annoying menus to go through and it looks very proffessional. A great purchase. It is worth buying if you are looking for something that does what it tells you, because it did for me. When i saw it i thought almost instantly... this is the one for me, because i was so intuiged by the look, style and the brand....

Advantages: It's a combo Disadvantages: Couple of faults
...Ok so it's a combo. It's old but I'm going to review it anyway-give it a chance. Firstly-the look. Well it's not an amazing look but to be honest I don't care that much as it saves a lot of space. Picture and sound are about average for sony-which means better than the average DVD-VCR combo. However I found that mine had several faults, the main one being the faulty DVD tray but it was easy to fix (just lift it up). Anyway, instructions were pretty good and even the most unintelligent of people could set it up but the main advantage of this is the fact it's a combo which boasts everthing you'd expect from a VCR (Video+) and a DVD player (great picture and sound) but in one-meaning-for me-only one scart lead-freeing up the other on you're TV for other things (games consoles etc). It is this factor and the relatively cheap price of £100...
