Advantages: Price, sound quality, looks, ease of use & set up Disadvantages: speakers feel alittle too light for my liking but are very good none-the-less
I bought these from PC world to replace an older 2.1 yamaha set. The difference is amazing; the bass is deep and the higher notes are clear & crisp.
I have tried it out with music ranging from Jay-Z to Mozart so far and I have been very impressed. £33 very well spent!
My only concern is the satillites feel very light and plasticy... They sound good and feel quite well made but I like a heavy speaker but I guess thats neither here nor there.
Setting the speakers up were straight forward, never even opened the instructions... The volume control is easy to use. And the subwoofer is a nice and chunky.
Buy these if you want a good set of music speakers that can handle films and games (there are way better ones for those obviously...) But these will make any home audiophiles who havent won the lottery very happy indeed ...

Advantages: Cheap, fair sound quality and build, good for gaming and films on PC Disadvantages: Few flaws such as stand not standing up, problem with sub.
I brought this not really knowing what I was getting, I couldn't find many reviews about them, and wasn't really 100% sure about buying them. I went ahead anyway, and I don't regret buying them.
They are a good set of speakers for gaming and films, I also use them for music, but really, to get the most out of your music you need a good HiFi, as these speakers don't have the best sound quality going. So, if you want a good set of surround sound speakers for your PC, these will do nicely, and won't break the bank.
The sound isn't all that bad though, the subwoofer produces fair bass, which plays the lower frequencys nicely, though the driver is on the small side a bit and they make a strange noise when you put them up too high, like the speaker is hitting the casing, so not too well designed there... The mid range and highs are good ...

Advantages: Best Entertainment System Avaliable, Region free games only Disadvantages: 4GB file limitation External Storage, Cant read NTFS
about this section is that it may be impressive now but soon it won't be as much, as computers are advancing rapidly now e.g. dual core, quad core games will be maybe 5 times better than the ps3 will be able to show. So if you are one of those people who wants to get the most they can from games then go with PC instead as it is easy to upgrade and games will continue to improve.
The GPU was developed by NVIDIA and Sony, This graphics card is similar to NVIDIA 7800. This tells me that already the pc has a better graphics card than the PS3 as NVIDIA has released 8800 ULTRA and soon will be releasing 9 series. Just makes you wonder how long it will be before Sony decides to make you buy a PS4. My bet is within 3-4 years. So is it worth spending that much money on a PS3 is the life expectancy is not long?
Storage is important ...
