I don't normally buy Sony products as the price tag they put on things is rediculous, when i can go and buy the same product from a different brand at half the price. This Sony Product is different though, i have the Bose Acustimass 10s hooked up to this baby, normally Bose offers a good speaker performance no matter what amplifier it's hooked up too, as long as the treble and bass settings are set properly.
This amplifier was different, the sound quality that i could hear was far more deeper and richer than any other amplifier i connected these speakers too, and it was a straight out of the box job, no fidiling with the treble and bass settings all day to try and find the perfect sound, it just sounded good as soon as i turned it on.
The amplifier has taken quite alot of beatings in the past, i.e, it has fallen off cabinets, had drink spilt all over it and had been sitting in a freezing garage over a 3 week period in winter, and it is still going as strong as the day that i bought it, i can pump over 100db out of this machine for hours and hours on end and it just sits there not overheating doing it's job, which it does very well.
I don't really read instructions on items, but i had a flick through it and well, it's simple to a certain extent, just not when it goes into all the dolby settings etc. It can be used by any person who knows how to turn a plug socket on and wire some speakers up.
Remote is rather annoying, there is too many buttons on it that do not work for that specific reciever, you can program them to work for other things, normally has to be the same make, so thats a no-no for me.
