Discontinuing this? Are Sony mad?

Advantages: Superb sound quality, ample power, substantial build quality, easy to use remote, easy to set up
Disadvantages: Discontinued so not readily available, no Moving Coil phono stage (see review ) though at this price it's nitpicking.

Well for those who read my review on my fantastic Sony SCD XB940 SACD player, I mentioned I'd upgraded my worn out Pioneer amp and increased my listening my listening pleasure still furthur. So I thought it was a good idea to review this amp. My Pioneer Amp had started to lose its power after a friend of mine dismantled it in an attempt to upgrade the mains cable. He couldn't fit the cable and managed to trash the amp (Cheers Raj!!). As it happened I was looking for an upgrade in any case so he'd just brought forward the decision by a few weeks... MORAL-DON'T let anybody near your precious HiFi amp unless he/she is a qualified technician or engineer. Amps are more complicateced than they look requiring amongst other things skilled use of a soldering iron.If you or anybody else isn't qualified then DON'T EVEN GO THERE!! Amps ...

Review of Sony TAFB940R

Enter the Sony!

Advantages: Packed with extras, looks good and feels good.
Disadvantages: See review for the very minor con`s.

Sony are one of the newest companies to venture into the world of DSLR`s, having been producing some quite excellent point and shoot cameras for many years this is a move that most people in the photography world had expected to happen a long time ago and a lot had feared the day it did happen too. The reason many photographers feared Sony entering the DSLR market is simply that it would be hard not to get drawn into what they had to offer but they feared that Sony might find the market too challenging and bale out leaving many photographers with cameras that they could not upgrade and would struggle to find lenses and accessories for. When buying a point and shoot camera you are spending in the region of between 100 and 200 pounds for a top of the range model, whilst when purchasing a DSLR camera you could be looking at spending ...

Review of Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A350K

A Great System from Sony

Advantages: Nice Classy Design, Great Graphics, and a Good Online
Disadvantages: Small Gamelist Thus Far and Some Games Suffer From Framerate and Graphical Pop-Up Issues

Sony's Playstation 3 is thier third go around in the Video Game business. My console reviews usually consist of reviews in the following categories Controller, Graphics, Multiplayer/Online, and Game Library. Much like the Xbox 360, i'll also be reviewing the Design of the PS3. The design of the PS3 is the more classy of the three new consoles. The PS3 is a black square system with a curved top. While the design is beautiful, this system is very big, matching the 360 in terms of size. The system also offers Blu-ray but, in my opinion, that should not be the only reason you should be spending $400-500 on this system. The PS3's controller is the classic Playstation controller once again and that shouldn't be a problem for any gamer. The original PS3 controller was the Sixaxis but is now Dualshock 3. For a company that created ...
