This is the worst quality cassette deck I have ever owned.
The sound quality can vary slightly each time you play a cassette and it also depends on the direction (auto reverse) and which deck you are using. The problem is the way the auto reverse is implemented.
The heads are rotated to play one side of the cassette, and not rotated for the other side. And they don't seem to hit the rotation 'end stop' quite right sometimes, which means the heads are sometimes not aligned correctly, resulting in significant changes in frequency response at the top end.I got the deck to transfer a lot of old cassettes to CD, and was annoyed when I found these problems.
For day-to-day use, it might be OK for some people. But for anything else, look elsewhere!
