I am a computer enthusiaist and a techie and currently am employed as a Software developer in Infotech Corporation. It has now been a month since when I visited the local sony showroom to find myself purchasing sony's slim and portable VAIO SR29XN/S.Although I left the shop being 700£ poorer but i did not mind this sudden economic change as I was carrying my future in my hands. The notebook is a bit expensive but I still made a buy as I wanted a slim, portable and powerful notebook that would be forming the elite class in bussiness or executive class of laptops.

This is where the notebook is the one of the best performer. It was designed while keeping the concept of portablity in mind and i would say that Sony has done an excellent job producing a notebook just 2 KG and with a 13.3 Inches Screen.

Sony has perfected in the designing scheme for this laptop producing the a masterpiece which one cannot endure without. It has been provided with a smooth, shiny and attractive mettalic finish and if you see the notebooks's top cover you would surely appreciate it.
The keyboard and the mouse panel both also look very attractive but looking at the price tag one would surely expect all these features to be present.

With 4GB DDR2 Ram and a super fast Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 with a clock of 2.26 Ghz , it produces excellent performance impressing anyone using it.
Once I got a virus in my notebook and I was unable to install an antivirus , at that time too this lappie produced excellent results and it appeared to me that there was no virus and I worked with this super fast laptop having a lot of viruses till one day I made a backup of my useful data and performed a HDD(Hard Disk Drive) Format.

Battery Life
I work on it for hours but with the AC power plugged in as the Batter Power can only make me work on it for about 3 Hours which is low for a laptop with such a high price tag.But if you don't stick to it for hours and just have to spend 2-3 Hours on it then it's works for you.

Optical Device
It is a really a drawback that this laptop does not have a blu-ray device which is nowadays common in most of the executive laptops with this price tag.Instead it has got a traditional DVD-RW drive that would work for you if you satisfied with the classic DVD storage.

Screen Size
It has got a 13.3 screen which works fine for me when performing simple computing tasks but it is pretty annoying when one has to see a movie on it or design something on it or do something similar.

Operating System
Exclusively designed for Windows Vista it gives superb performance even in Windows Seven which I have been using since last week.Although the bundled OS is Microsoft's Windows Vista Business , one could go for the all new Windows Seven and this notebook will give you the same performance as in Windows Vista.

Bundled Up Aplications
A lot of useful applications come bundled up with this notebook. It took me a lot of time to figure out the use of each application as there were many of them dotting the Desktop, the System Tray and the start menu.

The graphic solution provided is 'Intel GMA 4500MHD'.I checked it myself and found out that it 256 VRAM that pretty much does do the performance for gamers too.I played games like Crysis,GTA IV and Half Life On it and believe they worked superb and gave me really nice graphics.

Is It The Right Purchase ?
I would say that if you have the guts to spend that amount of money then just go for it and experience portability, perfomance, durablity and desgin in just one notebook.
I would quote by saying-'Quality First And Cost Second'.

I have been using it since a month now and have not experoenced even a small bit of problem with it except once i had a problem and was really provided real time support and technical help from Sony.Whether you are a businessmen or a gamer or just a computer enthsiast there is something in this notebook for everyone.
