I am definately not a techno type of person but can certainly recommend this data cable. It is a useful, functional piece of equipment which allows you to link your Sony camcorder to any kind of PC.

The main thing I would say is, that if you find yourself in need of this cable then the best thing to do is to shop around. There are bargains to be had and quite big differences in the prices charged for it.

Amazon is quite a good place to look, as not only do you get an Amazon price but there are other offers to be found there for new cables too. When I was looking the best deal available was £7.99 (plus shipping). Or of course you could order from Amazon when you are buying other items and then be eligible for free shipping if you spend £15. Anyway, this cable is simple and easy to use. It is the standard piece of plastic and metal. No more or less robust than similar kinds of cable. It is very easy and straightforward to use. Just connect it to your Sony camcorder and then to your PC and you can upload all the footage you want, ready for editing. It uploads all kinds of data from the camcorder - so images, sounds etc.
