Manufacturer's product description

The VPL-CX63 projector offers a brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens. The model achieves high picture quality with Digital Processing and 10-bit 3D Gamma correction circuit. It also features low fan noise (28dB) to reduce background noise during presentations. The VPL-CX63 can be ceiling-mounted, with screw holes on the bottom plate provided for use with a suspension-type bracket. The model features a motorized lens with power zoom and focus, so that users can control it from the projector control panel and the supplied Remote Commander unit. With "Direct Power On/Off," standby mode can be skipped over to activate the projector immediately. The projector's input connectors are checked automatically, selecting the one to which an input signal is supplied and images are projected from the moment the power is turned on. The CX63 projector offers Sony's "off-and-go" feature, a built-in circuit that allows users to unplug the projector and move it without waiting, because the fan continues to cool the unit. This feature also protects the bulb if power is interrupted.

Sony VPL-ES2
Review of Sony VPL ES2 by  taylora-2006

Advantages: Motorised Tilt, Auto Setup
Disadvantages: Poor Sound Quality

...The sony VPL-ES2 is a great projector at a bargain price. I wil admit that I think it would struggle with large presentations with only having a 1500 lumen lamp. But for home use and for small scale office presentations this projector is just what you need. I bought this projector for watching films at home after selling my previous projector due to it being far too noisy. This projector is very different when it is on the sound from it is barely noticeable. If you've purchased a projector before then you'll know that the most important thing is the bulb life. Because when the bulb goes they can easily cost anywhere upwards from £300-£400. It is often a more economically viable option just to replace the projector. However with this projector you have no reason to worry. The bulb life is a staggering 3000hours and in eco mode it... Read review

Review of Sony VPL CX21 by  jodha

Advantages: no
Disadvantages: okkk

...The Sony VPL CX21 looks really executive and office like. It has a nice sleek design to it and is slim compared to other projectors on the market due to it being a mobile projector so its easy to take with you to meetings or presentations etc. It is light weight and all major functions are motorised so you can look cool using it too. We just use it to watch films which look amazing when projected on a bright white back drop in the living room; with a DVD player connected to it and 5.1 surround sound to the DVD player you have your own cinema in your living room. That's the advantage of a projector you can make the screen as big as your imagination (actually as big as your living room wall). Overall the Sony VPL CX21 is a brilliant projector with plenty of features and excellent display output which is very clear. One downside though I... Read review

Sony's Excellent Projector
Review of Sony VPL CX21 by  Surj1

Advantages: High Brightness, 3LCD Projection System, AIAS (Advanced Intelligent Auto Setup), Short Focal Length
Disadvantages: Abit Noisy

...The Sony VPL CX21 is a bright, slim, and stylish projector designed for mobile applications. A friend of mine has this and we always watch movies on it. The projector has many features which I've written about below with brief explanation of each feature: - High Brightness of 2100 ANSI Lumens The projector has three Sony 0.63-inch LCD panels and a latest designed 165 W lamp, it has a brightness of 2100 ANSI lumens, which provides amazing image quality even in very high ambient-light. The projector has a resolution of XGA (1024 x 768), this simply means fine display of even the smallest details. - 3LCD Projection System This is what the Sony projector is all about, it has a 3LCD projection system which means the projected images are bright and natural and for this to be achieved it has 3 LCD panels. It provides high light... Read review
