I bought this device as a part of home cinema and i intended to watch DVDs .the maximum resolution of 800x600 pixels is pretty enough for most commersially available DVDs. with its bright illumination making it unnessesary to use the maximum lighting. setting light mode to ""standard"" can prolong life expectancy of the lamp further than the predicted and may reach 3000h.
not to forget it's low noise and efficient cooling ... ...and use it properly,you will not need frequent maintainance except ;maybe; cleaning the air filter every few months or when it heats abnormally.
Final advice ,it may be wise to buy an extra lamp togather with the device as new brands will appear after few years and it may be more difficult to find the suitablt lamp thence.
