Having this type of screen means that the picture is also better compared ... ...Sony has really concentrated on making this laptop a real asset to those media lovers. Having this screen tied together with the great sound system means that watching a film is a great feeling.
This laptop also contains smart gadgets. The version I bought came with free view T.V installed at an extra price if you are after this feature it is £50 and is well worth adding on as it is such a better picture than most tellies.

I have recently purchased this laptop and have already found it to be a brilliant asset. I use it for every day use as I am a student. This includes banging out music, playing games sometimes, watching films and also surfing the net to write ciao reviews and of course to do all my coursework.
This laptop has helped me in many ways. Its quick speed and hardcore centrino processor means that surfing the net is a pleasure without any dodgy interruptions of page expired or can not be displayed. I don't really play games but when I do the fast 1.73GHZ processor and Intel Centrino technology helps it to run smoothly and efficiently.

It also has a wilan button at the front of the laptop. Flick this and it will search for a wireless network that is in range. This makes it so much easier than going through lots of options and menus to connect to the internet.
Other things that the laptop includes are various ports. Four USB ports for multiple things to use. It also has memory stick duo card port for Sony memory stick cards. This comes in handy if you have a Sony mobile phone as data transfer is quick and effective.
However I may mention a disadvantage. This laptop is rather heavy. It is big as it has a large screen so that you can enjoy watching movies. It is not heavy as such but not light. If you are not to strong then I recommend you get a bag to carry it.

Quick review of Sony Vaio VGN-FS515H
Purchased this laptop from PC World for £945 (amongst other Sony products), motherboard failed only days after 1yr wty expired!! Unit has seen light use for a total of 2 months, never mobile.
Found customer service to be incomptent, rude, slow and way too expensive. Sony UK and NL should be fined for treating customers like sh*t, they can stick their ALL of their crap products, they are utter rubbish behing all that gloss and 'technology'. Never again! Too many failures!
Do yourself a favour (your friends, colleagues and entire company's as well) and avoid Sony like the plague, invest your hard earned money elsewhere!! ...

...would really recommend the Sony VAIO laptops excellent for assignments and sometimes presentations (done it myself). And if your a download freak like me, you will enjoy the experience with the FS515H sony laptop. I`m now personalising my hardware features (visit club vaio website for details).

...Portable or an other portable sony device. On the other side you get a 4x DVD-RW drive which is okay but it doesnt seem to burn DVD's well, I have had a few gltiches with mine. The screen is superb with HD resolutions and it comes with XBLACK meaning you can use it in the sun. When i got this laptop i thought it was the best i had ever had and it was. This can do most thing that you want with 80gb, and 1gb of ram it is an extremly fast laptop it can play any game (that ive tried) and as fenominal graphics it has everything you want in a laptop the size as a large book including wi-fi and anything for basically anything. it is a great movie for travel espessiallay as is has a nextra long battery and is great for movies ...
