Sony Vaio GRT896SP

I love Sony. If I had a choice of a Sony or anything else then I would always go for a Sony. The Vaio is no different. This is a top quality laptop from a top quality company.

I recently sold this model to a business user who wanted a portable desktop basically and that is exactly what this is. This laptop would stand up against any standard desktop with its 16" Flat Screen, 2.8ghz Pentium 4 processor, DVD writer and more. It is a powerhouse of a laptop with a 64mb Video Card and 512mb of memory included. Not only does it stand up to the test in that capacity but its also portable with reasonable battery life (which can be increased by creating a second hardware profile on XP with certain services disabled). The only down side to its portability is its weight but if you compare this to the Apple powerbook it is still achieving its goal as a top quality notebook.

This notebook is aimed at the business user with XP Professional fitted as standard and a wireless network making it easy to connect to the companys network or your local home network. The wireless network can be a pain to install and with no instruction books this can be considered one of the downsides. However everything you need to know can be found on the system or online.
