Excellent, I've owned my sony vaio rs144 for 7 years and its an amazing machine still. my experiences have been excellent all through, the standard speakers were satisfactory when i first aquired the pc but over time they broke through use and as i got older i wanted better speakers anyway, the graphics card is a little old but can play far cry and half lifegames really well. i now have more ram the installed ram from purchase is 256mb but i now have 1.256gb ram and games can run much better. i still have the original mouse and it still works although i havent used it for a few months since bought another new mouse because i dont find the old one all that comfortable, but i used it for the most time ive owned the pc and it was fine and still is.
i still use the same montior i have always used this monitor it works great runs at 60hz i use my pc alot my eyes dont really strain from using it even for up to 6 hours or so it always looks great. some people complain about when adjusting the monitor they have to hold the base down but i actually dont have that problem i can do it effortlessly with one hand tilting the screen backwards or forwards i dont know if it is because of the amount of use it has has and been moved or whether it has happened from the 2 times i have knocked it from on top of the tower onto the desk and hitting my floor or not i will never know, but on that note the monitor performs fine it isnt damaged unless the pivot thing is but i would not see that as a disadvantage anyway because the monitor now moved well with little effort and im glad it does.
OVERALL
very respecatble very reliable performance excellent lifetime - exponential could be used by - 12 and up i was young when i aquired it and as it is my pc and nobody elses it shows the quality because i have messed it up badly twice through silly descisions to download things i shouldn't..... anyway even when it was badly messed up i tweaked the computers startup and processes through taskmanager used system tools and utilities and this allowed it to run really well still but problems occured more regularly than they would becuase of the spyware and viruses.
but my computers restored and now im older and more mature and have a lot of experience with the world wide web and the machine etc i can now comfortably keep the pc in tip top condition. if you would like to know more contact me at
