Advantages: Extremely fast and reliable Disadvantages: Obsolete to newer processors
...is still good.
Without overclocking it, it runs very fast and does not give any trouble. After 2 months i overclocked it to 2.9Ghz (to stay safe, i did not go 3Ghz). It works really good and does increase my game play afew frames per second.
Since writing this Core 2 Duo has been released. Because it has been released, this is now the obvious choice to get now. ( i will be writing a review of it soon to show how great it is).
If you dont want to spend too much and the PentiumD9202.8Ghz is at a good price or cheap, it is really worth getting. There is alot of powerful processing without any extra hassle.
Hope you found this useful....

Advantages: Stunning to look at and fits in with most home cinema systems Disadvantages: Hardware could be better and quite expensive
...The SonyVaio VGX-XL100 is the latest home cinema endeavour by the world's leading electronics company. First of all, the VGX-XL100 is actually one of the best Media Centre PCs on the market and would be more than adequate for the average consumer who wants a space saving, all-in-one media solution. It comes with a P4 D2.8GHz processor, 1Gb of DDR2 ram, 250Gb hard drive, a GeForce 6600 graphics card and a built in free view TV card. This impressive spec allows the user to play most games out at the minute as well as watch, record and pause live TV.
This might all sound good but for £1000 you could get a better PC for the same price, albeit without the stunning Sony case, which, to people concerned about cosmetics and worried wives alike may be worth the extra money.
Now we come to the downsides, the VGX-XL100 comes...

Advantages: Sharp screen image, high overall performance, great looks Disadvantages: Continuous running of the fan
...the features that most people will look at first when looking around for a new notebook or desktop, the amount of RAM and the CPU speed. As standard the SonyVaio GRT816S comes with a 2.8GHz Intel Pentium processor and 512 MB of DDR RAM. The processor speed is more than enough for any applications that you may want to run and can easily cope with even the most advanced games on the market. Where this processor falls down however is in the fact that it is a normal processor (of the type used in all desktops) rather than a mobile equivalent which is often used in notebooks.
Mobile processors for those of you who don’t know were developed specifically for use in notebooks in that they require less power to run and tend not to overheat as much as a normal processor. In a desktop overheating is not a problem because the processor usually has...
