i bought this laptop as i needed one a little faster and bit more memory was the best decision i made its great and the battery lasts ages iv had no problems with it the graphics are excellent to. also has a memory stick pro duo and takes sd to. It has Vaio update software preinstalled so constantly updates with the latest sony drivers and software fixes. Features 4 USB ports and a firewire port for connecting digital cameras or camcorders. As it has 3GB of memory multitasking is no problem and so far it has never crashed even though it comes with windows Vista. If your looking for a stable, fast, decent graphics this is for you. Costs around £500 for the best mid range laptop at this price point. ...

This is the middle model of the SZseries of laptops making it the 2nd most expensive. On the SONY site the price posted is £ 1,531.06 without VAT. I am not 100% sure what my dad paid for his but I am sure it was not far off of that. Personally I think that is too much for a laptop but if I had that kind of money I would probably just get the best I could get. I am also slightly angry at my dad because now he has the most powerful computer in the house but I'll get a better computer soon I have been saving up for a while.
It comes with lots of different technological gadgets like the fingerprint recognition that work with the just the swipe of a finger but I think I have mentioned that one enough times ...

Cons
* Screen resolution isn't great; although is the maximum for this size screen.
* Vista is a very Black operating system when running Aero, and this laptop is also very black - makes it quite dull to look at.
* Vista + Sony = BAD.
* No media buttons?
*No DVI-D interface. Still uses dated VGA.
* The built in memory card reader only supports Sony Memory Stick Duo and Pro Duo now (although there's a plus too)
* Sony only put a 64MB 8400M GS in it; so below par graphics.
