Manufacturer's product description
The Sony VAIO VGX-TP1 is certainly eye-catching: This white-gray circle looks more like a stand to place something on than a PC. But a PC it is, and it's meant to fit unobtrusively into your living room, your bedroom, or any other room where you want to watch TV and have the functionality of a Media Center PC along for the ride.
Advantages: Stunning to look at and fits in with most home cinema systems Disadvantages: Hardware could be better and quite expensive
...The SonyVaioVGX-XL100 is the latest home cinema endeavour by the world's leading electronics company. First of all, the VGX-XL100 is actually one of the best Media Centre PCs on the market and would be more than adequate for the average consumer who wants a space saving, all-in-one media solution. I wouldn't buy a vaio now if they were giving them away in a box of cornflakes. sony's response to this - no apology just a technical support number - as if thewir guys on the phone would be able to fix something which 4 trained IT guys could not fix in 'realtime'. sort it out sony you are crap....

Advantages: High Spec and a Few Hidden Extras Disadvantages: Doesn't Really Look Like a Media Centre
...room then the SonyVaioVGX-XL 100 is probably more suitable. All in all this is a great piece of kit and well worth considering when looking for a new PC.
