I have just recently purchased this MP3/MP4 player (£65 Amazon). I wanted something that was stylish, small, easy to use and gave good sound quality. I wanted it firstly for the music aspect, but also something to play with in the sense of MP4's and storing pictures. This unit does it all, plus more.
WHAT IT CONSISTS OF
MP3/MP4 Player (2 inch colour screen). USB cable. Headphones (amazing quality). 3 different size headphone inserts. Headphone extension lead. Media Player installation CD. Small plastic Table stand for the unit.
WHAT IT IS AND DOES
It plays music and video files (.mp3, .wav, .wma, .mp4), along with being able to store pictures (.jpg). The music quality is superb for something this size and at this price - there are also numerous functions that you can adjust (5 band graphic equalizer, stereo effects, etc) to suit and enhance your music listening. This just adds to the sound quality. The movie quality is just as good, although in really bright areas, the screen can be a bit difficult to see (same with any lcd screen though).
I worked out how to use this without even looking at the .pdf instruction booklet supplied - sentiments to it's ease of use!! Moving files from your pc to mp3 is as easy as drag and drop. The USB doubles as the charging cable (3 hours gives a full charge). I haven't had it long enough to find out how long the charge lasts for but i'm told about 30 hours is about right for music listening.

CONCLUSION
I didn't want to go down the ipod route - I think they are overhyped and over priced. I wanted something that was good and reputed at being good at playing music - this does it and I think puts everything else to shame (I listened to various other units and nothing matched this). I honestly think that for the price (£65), nothing comes close to this 4GB Sony!!
