I chose this player because I trusted Sony and needed a player that had Solid state (flash) storage, but played videos. at the time of purchase, it seemed like the best option. I would buy it again today.
The player interface is incredibly easy to use; the screen is bright, sharp and vivid; and the bundled headphones give magnificent sound quality.
Sony have been criticized over their Sonic Stage software that is used for music transfer. I admit that it can be slightly awkward and slow, but generally it does the job well.
My only complaint with the player itself is that the headphones have a very short lead, Sony include an extender, but it is easy to loose and it would be far better to have bundled a set of earphones with a longer cable.
Overall, definitely worth it.

Advantages: Great sound quality and video playback with adequete compatibility. Disadvantages: Timevault shuffle mode is unnescecary as is picture playback.
Advantages: Great sound, video, screen, build quality, battery life, looks nice, cheap. Disadvantages: Song search function not good, but i'm just nit picking!
