I am a southampton based student, and love all forms of sport and techy stuff, from D&D to Roller Hockey. As my friends say, I am a geek / sport hybrid. Oh, and i forgot to mention my penchant for anime as well :)

Wow! what a great MP3 player... idiot simple to use and a bright, clear screne.
The brilliant sub division of menus makes this really simple to use, and, with its own line out function, a must have for you car or stereo system.
The "artist link" button on the side works really well, providing related songs, albums and artists to the track that you are currently listening to.
The 6GB storage means that you can store hundreds of songs at a decent bit rate, and the earphones that come supplied are actually of a pretty decent quality, unlike the ipod.
However, due to the external transparent plastic layer, dist does tend to get underneath it, and so obscure the screen a little bit. I have not found this to be a major problem, rather an inconvienience in the stlye side of things.
Also, the CONNECT software. Although a pain to get used to (especially as the internet database overwrites your own genre info), once accustomed, it is actually a very useful tool, with a lot of functionality. But, i would recommend Media Player 10 to transfer songs to it if real trouble occurs.
My main grudge is against the power cable: being unique, if you lose it, you have to replace it. It costs £49.99, compared to ipod who will usually replace it free, or £5 for a dixon's home brand one. A right pain in the ass.
Yet, customer service in general has been excellent; my initial one that i bought came with a cracked screen, so a new one was sent to me, which i received within 3 days of e-mailing them, and they sent a box with stamps to send the faulty one back.
Anyway, great value for money (unless you lose the power lead / AC adapter), versatile and simple to use. I would recommend this as a far superior mp3 player to the more expensive, less storage ipod nano.
Oh, an as an after thought, the battery life on this thing is good as well, though not as good as the ipod's, a close rival.
