I'm a very fair person and very tolerant of things which don't work properly, however--al I can say about this player is the software which comes with it just does not work in a usable manner. Check the web and see what other users say. The player is stunningly beautiful, works well--when you manage to get music on to it. It sounds wonderful, BUT the connect software which comes with it is so resource heavy that it will bring even the most powerful PC to a crawl. There's a program which loads with the connect software called tinyhttp.exe and it will have your processor running at 100% and use all memory and all virtual memory which you have and it still runs at a snails pace. The end result is the software is unusable. It takes over 4 minutes for the connect software to get up and running--it's at shocking piece of software. I hope that Sony fixes it, but at the time of writing this, (Jan 05) I have a player, but no easy way of getting music on to it. My advice is NOT to buy this player until Sony get a working piece of software. You may find it hard to believe that Sony could produce something so bad, well--check the web and see for yourself--the majority of people have massive problems with the software, so BE WARNED.

You might have included a bit more on the player itself for a more rounded review. You (and someone else saying something similar) have definitely put me off this player.
