I bought two of these a while ago now, one for me and one for my girlfriend, I think they are such amazing mp3 players, they also have one of the best looks for an mp3 player around and for over a year I was completely happy with them... then the bad thing happened...
My girlffriend sold hers as she no longer used it and after a complicated house move, I realised that I had lost my charger and cable... not altogether a terrible life changing thing I hear you thinking, well that exactly what I thought until I tried to replace the bloody thing. Never in my entire life have I had such a hard time trying to find a replacement, if you think I'm lying then have a look for yourself.... I tried the Sony website, tried googleing it, even tried ebay but the best I could come up with was the usb cradle which I didn't want and some guy on ebay selling all the charger bits seperately and getting a fortune for them! Now I fully understand why but at the time I mocked those silly ebay users for paying over the odds for spare parts from Sony chargers.
Well this is where it got interesting, as I couldn't find the chargers anywhere but on ebay (Note above comment, they was only charger bits ie the USB wire), I decided to contact Sony themselves as surely you'd think that the people who actually produce the mp3 players would be able to supply the chargers for them.. well that was my first mistake, well maybe second as the first would have been losing the dam thing in the first place.
After 3 weeks I finally received an email back from Sony saying that they don't sell or stock the chargers.... thanks Sony.. but wow, they gave me a contact for someone who could send sell me one, fantastic!! So I emailed the company...
Again 3 weeks later I received an email from them saying "thank you for your equiry, we shall get back to you shortly with a quote"
2 weeks later I received another email from the company "We will be able to supply the charger" "HURRAAARRRRRRRR!" "£85 not including VAT" "YOUUU F*~'#KING WHATT!!!" I think the neighbours spilt their earl grey that day...
Well, after 8 weeks of waiting I decided to throw the bloody thing in the bin and buy an Ipod, they look cheap but if I lose a cable then I can pick one up quite cheap on ebay or off any mp3 player website really.
I hope this helps people in choosing their mp3players, just remember, think of the unexpected like a lost cable, look to see if you can replace them easily before you go and spend over £200 on something that could cost you half again to replace something that costs about £2 to make.

Welcome to ciao, you need more info to get higher ratings. I'd like to know about the actual mp3 player. If you edit, drop a message in my guestbook and I'll happily take another look. Jules x
