Advantages Looks Good, Functions well

Disadvantages Software

To start, let's go over the pro's of this stylish device

20gb of storage
I have a huge music collection - 20gb certainly goes a long way for me to keep my collection with me wherever i go.

Looks
Let's face it, it looks amazing - Excellent quality display which is visible even in pitch black. The device itself is well put together aswell, it doesn't feel tacky like some other similar products

Functionality
The device has excellent functionality
The ability to create playlists, sort out your music collection by artist, album name, genre and more. Using the artist link button the device will automaticaly search your collection and suggest similar tracks for you to listen too. It's packed full of different features and interesting ways to listen to your music.

Unfortunately - that is where the pro's of this device stop.

The device itself? - Great
however...

Before i move onto the software, there is one drawback of the accessories i don't think anyone else has mentioned - The headphones.
At first they seem nice, comfy, match the device etc. But after just a week mine broke, they were poorly put together and literaly fell apart, this problem is not a huge one... The software however is

The software really puts this device down. When it arrived it took me hours to use the incredibly slow software to get my music onto the device - Help was hard to come by at the time and there was nothing on the Sony site addressing the problem - Don't expect the manual to help you out either.

This problem is not so bad in the newer software "sonicstage" but it is still slow. Sony just haven't got the software for this device right yet.

It requires mountains of patience and if you didn't know how to find the software and configure it yourself you would be absolutely stuck.

However, i would personaly still reccomend the device as once you have gotten round the problem of the software - The functionality, huge storage capacity and looks of the walkman outbalance having to replace some headphones and software problems.

The walkman is good value for money aswell even when i bought it nearly a year ago it beat most of its competition - And still does

Yup - I found the same program, it's much better but it's still not as functional as it could be
