I got my Sony NW-E002 for free from Sony Credit Card so I can't really complain too much about it.
It is my first MP3 player and I am impressed. So far I have 303 tracks on mine and there is still a bit of space left.
I found that the software is easy to use but then again I am very competent with the use of computers and had no problems with it whatsoever. The unit just plugs into a USB port on a computer where it also charges from. Not sure how I will charge it whilst on holiday etc unless I can take my desktop PC with me!!!
The only criticism I found was that it doesn't come with a neck strap (the hole is there to thread one through) or anything else to clip it to your body. I picked up a strap locally for a couple of £. I don't think it would cost Sony too much to include something like this with it. They do include a catalogue with accessories available.Sound quality is very good and the small LED screen is easy to read. The unit is very easy to navigate through the menu system and it is very easy to set-up.
In conclusion I am very impressed with the Sony. As stated it is my first MP3 player and so far I've had no problems with it.
