General Use:
The interface is simple and easy to use. The LCD screen lights up with an orange glow which is quite a unique feature. It has a sleep function, but no alarm wakeup. It can receive both DAB and FM signals, and also has 3 preset station buttons. There is also a hold switch, which i have never used.
Battery Life: ...tend to use rechargeable batteries as it does not last too long just using the battery power. I estimate around 10 hours or continuous, but it is hard to judge as I never had it on for extended periods to really gauge the lifespan of the batteries
Sound Quality:
For a small unit the speaker is surprisingly loud and clear, no problems hearing it outside.

Build Quality:
Quite rugged construction. As long as the Ariel is locked into it housing I don’t worry about leaving this rattling around in my rucksack all day. I have bent the Arial slightly when i knocked it off the desk, put it does not affect the performance.
Signal:
When comparing it to my larger DAB radio, the signal was slightly weaker but it did not affect the sound quality. Depending on the location in the house it sometimes would not pick up the weaker signal stations.
