I recently purchased one of these DSLR cameras, i went for a DSLR as i wanted something that would capture good action shots of moving cars/dogs and you just don't get the same result with a none DSLR camera. They are a far more responsive type of digital camera meaning you can take continuous shots of something so you don't miss a thing. They are not as small and light as you average digital camera but definately worth it for the extra picture quality.

Features and Specification

10.2 megapixel - this makes it ideal for putting images onto your computer and then printing out without them becoming pixelated after editting you can crop images without loosing quality and also ideal if you want large prints for framed pictures etc.

Steadyshot feature that means even if you are moving around slightly the picture will not come out blurry so ideal for capturing activities and sports.

Eye-Start sutofocus focuses on what you are captureing as soon as raise the camera to your eye, so this camera is always ready to get a perfect in focus picture.

Anti-Dust feature helps keep the CCD imager dust free, making sure there is no dust to affect the quality of your images. It has a static-free anti-dust coating on the CCD filter, and an anti-dust vibration that shakes the CCD to help dislodge dust everytime you turn the camera off.

Stamina Battery the battery life on this DSLR is great you can take around 500 shots on a fully charged battery, if you are planning on taking more than this you can also buy a spare battery to change it for once it has ran out.

Looks, Styling, Portability

DSLR cameras in general aren't that great looking as they are quite chunky, this is quite a light camera and is the smallest and lightest of the A seriest Sony DSLR cameras, its advisable you buy a camera bag to carry the camera around so it doesn't get damaged as they are not the easiest things to carry around with you unlike a usual digital camera that just fits in your pocket.

Price

You can now pick these cameras up for around £300 which i feel is a very competetive price and definately worth the money and is possibly one of the best brands you can buy for this price.

My opinion

This is a great camera i am really pleased with it, it came with a great instruction manual explaining how to use all the different features the camera has, i am happy with the pictures i have taken with this camera so far.
The images i take are easy to get off the camera either via a cable or taking out the memory card and inserting into my laptop slot.

The standard lens isn't amazing but you can buy upgraded len's for these cameras which i feel is defiantely worth doing.

So far nothing has gone wrong with this camera and it has proved to be very reliable and i know if it ever goes wrong Sony customer service are usually excellent.
