High performance Digital Single Lens Reflex (D-SLR) camera - body only. Superlative HD picture quality from shooting to viewing. Ultra-responsive performance, ruggedly constructed and beautifully easy to use.
Advantages: Relatively cheap, easy to use Disadvantages: None yet
...I wanted an entry level DSLR and after some research decided on the SonyA200.
As a step up from a pocket digital camera the difference is amazing, although I've not yet figured out all the setting and buttons you can pretty much just start clicking with this. I didn't even read the manual before starting to click and it worked fine, its pretty intuitive.
All the pictures I've taken so far have turned out great, connecting them to a big TV you can see the difference with this and a standard digital immediately, fantastic detail and colours.
As a basic entry level DSLR for someone looking for the next step up in digital cameras you can't go far wrong with this camera. For more experienced users you might want a bit more....

Advantages: Stlish digital slr Disadvantages: sony customer service
...At first glance the sonyalphaa100 feals slightyly plastickly, but this is partly due to the fact that the body itself is made out of plastic, never the less the sonya100 is a fantastic digital sslr for the first time photograhper.
Although it is slightly dissapointing that sony has not made a vertical grip for this product, overall the smooth shiny feal to the sonyalphaa100, feals nice, and the shutter button fits snugguly into your right hand, however the camera is exceptional, but the custumer service is dreadful, when i accidently smashed my sonyalpha 3 days after purchasing it, i was devistated, but not to worry, i was soon on to sony, and was relieved that there was a set price of £114 but i had to forck out a lumply sum of £360 to get it fixed.
There isnt realy a fixed price and the level of custumer service...

The sony a200 Review ofSony a (alpha) DSLR-A200Kby
DarkNights
Advantages: Only £350! Disadvantages: plastic body, noise problem
....
It feutres a D-range optimiser to enhance pictures, and sports a fast 3 frames a second, with a 2.7 inch lcd offering 0.2 more than the a100, it uses a sony a mount, and has a anti-dust sytem, to get rid of dust on the censor.
The camera is also good for any one with old konica minolta lenses, as they will all fit on the sonyalpha range, the camera also has crative styles and super steady shot inside of the body, with a inof-lithium battery, which can take up to 750 shots in one charge!
There is a number of other accessoires in the box, these include:
Battery charger
Rechargeble battery pack(np-fm500h)
USB cable
Video cable
CD-ROM
Shoulder strap
Eyepiece cover
Standard zoom lens 18-70mm
All of this in one tiny box!The box itsellf is something to get worked up on, it is a lush orange coulor, any you know that this camera is a winner, thats why i...
