Advantages Very marketable, young people love it.

Disadvantages I dislike the taste cos its apple and bitter, personal preference.

Im not a fan of Apple Sourz. It's a shot which is one of many in the Sourz brand. Produced by Beam Global Spirits and Wine. All the Sourz come in fruit flavours; Cherry, Tropical, Raspberry, Pineapple and Peach. Wasn't aware there that many until I did a bit of research lol. They have also brought special editions ones out for Xmas, including an Apple and Cranberry one.

The alcohol by volume is 15 percent, which is relatively low compared to other shots such as Tequila or Sambuca. I think it's generally seen as a young person's shot. Something that people can drink a lot of without feeling too wasted. The packaging is very attractive to the eye.

Apple Sourz can also be used in cocktails. Most famously in 'The Big Apple'.

The reason I dislike the Apple Sourz shot itself, is because Im not a fan of apple alcoholic drinks anyway and it is very bitter in taste, very strong. Makes me feel ill. I do however go for the Tropical flavour when my friends go for Apple to share in their shot experience lol. But I think it's just a personal preference, cos a lot of my friends really love it.

So I recommend people to buy it if they like the shot. Good to have some great drinks in over Christmas, if you are planning a Xmas party. Though I would say it is for people who don't want to get too drunk. If I was going for a serious shot, I would go for Sambuca or something equally as alcoholic.

    A "young person's shot"? In my day we added a mixer, for example ginger ale, lemonade or tonic water to our vodka, gin or whisky... or a dash of lime or blackcurrant to the lager... or drank sweet cider...
