I have been working with the company for nearly 6 months now. I applied for the job as it stated "Driver" on the jobcentreplus form, only to be told after the interview, you are actually going to be a salesman, guised as a "designer". What a joke!!!!
The usual starts, they offer you the world, you can make £1000 a day from the commission you earn, joke!!!! Likeliness is, you will make the £50 pitch fee only. They are all friendly for the first few weeks also until they turn on you. Your training consists of sitting in a room with a fat mancunian while he talks about how he makes £100k a year, please?
The "lead" comes from the fat skanks sat in the call centre who basically hound the customer into saying YES to a "Free Plan & Design" which afterwards, a price will be kept for 18 - 24 months, what the customers don't know is that the discounted price is only available for the one night.
No matter what, "Say no", the designer will drop the price after speaking to his manager to about 50% lower than your original price. In fact, Space Kitchens can go as low as 70% and they still make a profit!!!! It's the salesman who suffers as he is counting on full price to make a decent commission.
Also, the "Feature Home" promotion is an absolute lie. It doesn't exist!!!!!! How can they keep getting away with it? It's a scam to get you interested and to try and create an urgency, they make you feel as you will be missing out if you don't go with them.
The best thing about it is, the product. During your "Product Demonstration", you will be told the cabinet is top quality, 18mm melamine furniture grade. It is, infact, chipboard. Take the door off the cabinet and look beneath the hinge.
They try and tell you that the cabinet is way better than B&Q cabinets etc, is isn't. They are roughly the same. They may look good in the brochure, but they rarely turn out that way.
Overpriced, under quality crap.
The designers are treated like shit. They work until 01:00am just to try and put food on the table. They clock up 1000 miles at least monthly and get paid nothing for it.
I am stuck as there are no other jobs. Don't get me wrong, I have made some good money but only because I have ripped off every customer. I charge them £10,000 for a £3,000 kitchen.
I know a few people working in the Glasgow / East Kilbride / Hamilton office, they absolutely hate it as well. Their bosses are idiots only after money, they are treated badly and the customers suffer the wrath of the branch managers if they don't buy on the night.
All in all, terrible. I hate it. I hate the direct, aggressive sales method.
Remember people, the salesman will be told to do a 4 HOUR PITCH!!!!!!! Don't make any plans if they are coming, and please, please, buy your kitchen from a company who has a decent name.

Thanks guys. It is tough out there, I have a two month old son to feed and I'm desperately trying to find another job.
I tried to be as brief and as honest as I possibly could, I have a lot more to say but I didn't want to bore people with the long rant.
