Community Quote

I first started wearing contact lenses at the age of 18. I started off with the small hard kind that I found incredibly difficult to get used to and very high maintenance to boot! As a result, over the years I’ve tried and failed to find a pair of comfortable glasses. So, eventually when ... Read review

EYE LOVE THE FREEDOM! Review with images

AdvantagesCloser vision correction; improved peripheral vision

DisadvantagesCost perhaps; lack of oxygen reaching the eye

"...I chose to go with Specsavers own brand given that up until the point that I switched to daily disposables, I had encountered minimal problems with annuals or monthlies, and so thought that this was a pretty safe bet. An added attraction was the Specsavers “Lensmail” scheme, where 90 pairs are delivered to you on a quarterly basis if you pay by direct debit. This means that you don’t have to think about replacing your lenses as they’re delivered ..." Read review

Life thru a lens

AdvantagesComfortable, improves vision, no cleaning

DisadvantagesMore expensive than monthly lenses

"...in. AT THE OPTICIANS Obviously these are specsavers own brand, so you will need to go to specsavers. I would assume that you will be able to take in a contact lens prescription from a different optician if you already have one. If not, Specsavers will carry out a full contact lens check, and then discuss the different options of lenses with you. They will also do a fitting if it's the first time you have used lenses. This is where they watch ..." Read review

NO MORE GEEKY GLASSES!

AdvantagesPractical and comfortable!

DisadvantagesCan be cause headaches if kept in too long.

"...I decided to go to Specsavers because compared to most opticians such as Boots, the prices are considerably lower. Daily disposable contact lenses are perfect for people who need a quick fix from glasses and cleaning monthly lenses. They are comfortable, can be thrown away instantly after use and are much cleaner than ordinary contact lenses, keeping your eyes free from dirt and debris. They are more hygenic. Soft daily contact lenses, in my ..." Read review

Wear once and dispose!

AdvantagesEase of use, no solution needed

DisadvantagesSlightly more expensive than monthly lenses

"...the lenses I get from Specsavers are now changed to daily disposable lenses. Every three months I get a parcel through my letterbox delivered by the postman. In my parcel I get sixty pairs of contact lenses, as I had requested twenty pairs of lenses per month. Twenty pairs a month for me is enough as I usually would only wear them if I am going out for a meal or night out or if I am taking part in sport. The service that I get of, my eye tests ..." "...lenses. I have been with specsavers for over a year now, ever since my vision took a drastic turn for the worse and I suddenly couldn't read anything even as close up as teletext on the TV. I have had glasses for over 12 months, and as used to them as I have got, you can't exactly wear them out clubbing (unless you don't want to pull of course!). At the end of the day, there is a still a stigma attached to wearing glasses. I eventually came to terms ..." Read review
