"specialized allez, allez, allez.."

I have always been a fan of the allez, and decided to get one as a winter training bike. However what i didn't expect was to fall back in love with aluminium frames which i have. great rigiity, good strength and a sense of been part of the bike rather than on top, bouncing around, which can happen sommetimes on a carbon frame.. the gears are functional without being overly smooth an everything works like it should.
recommended to a friend who now also bestalls its virtues. and all this from a non thoroughbred racer with pannier mounts.. would say the only problem with the bike is the geometry doesn't quite fit my riding style an that is a very personal thing, i adopt a very tri style position and this is a more upright racer.
great stuff

well ive had some comments on this that it doesn't tell you anything about the bike so here goes..

If you've read this far and i doubt it that means you want to know what it all means... which is that the frame is cheap but well designed , the groupset (think gears and brakes) is the cheapest that money can buy, the carbon used is prob rubbish chinese stuff and you could get a better bike.. hell ive got five better on paper.

But that doesn't matter because a genuine reader of this reveiw would have a reason for reading... winter trainer, budget bike, starter bike, aand in my opinion look no further.. unless you look at a pre 2004 Dawes 400 GR.

Could do with a bit more info and detail. You could look at similar reviews by more experienced members to get an idea of the kind of things to include. Remember that you can always go back and edit a review at any time.

if want a spec list just go onto the specialised website.. giving a subjective review of my experience with the bike not the numbers..
