So has it come to this?? Trawling around my room, trying to find something a bit different to review, rather than just a CD or DVD... Yes, it has!
Instead of reviewing the iPod Shuffle itself, I felt why not go for something that no ones seemingly reviewed yet...the protective cases you can buy for them!
Now, of course with no one having reviewed them, I'm not entirely sure what to write here, so here's a stab at it!
Now, first off, the cases that I have originally came in a thin plastic see-through pack of five - blue, black, white, green and pink - blue's my preference, in fact I can't say I've used the others!
The thin rubber casing enables the user to use the buttons on the Shuffle without removing it due to a slight groove in the material, which is extremely convenient. On top of the casing there is a gap over the headphone port, which again ensures the case doesn't need removing to insert or remove the headphones.
A clever flipable cap at the other end of the case ensures that the Shuffle can be inserted into a USB port on your computer to add songs etc. easily, again without removing the case.
Also on the cap section, there are two holes on either side which allow for something such as a cord or string to be inserted, so you could wear the Shuffle around your neck if desired. Personally, I just stick it in my pocket!
I've had both my iPod Shuffle and the cases for roughly around a year now, and during that time, neither have shown any signs of ageing, despite the regular usage that it gets through, so by all means these are definitely a recommended buy for those addicted iPod users!!
Oh, and here's some more techinical details, taken from the product page...
Product Description Speck Products SkinTight for iPod Shuffle - case ( for digital player ) Product Type - Case Dimensions (WxDxH) - 2.8 cm x 1.2 cm x 9.1 cm Recommended Use - MP3 player Material - KRATON plastic
Price wise, I couldn't remember what they cost me, so after a very brief look around the internet, I found the 5-pack of these cases, on Amazon, for £19.99, which to me seems awfully high, but you can buy "Used & New" for £11.49... so you may wish to look elsewhere for these.
So to avoid any scratches or pieces being chipped off, these cases are the excellent companion to the Shuffle...recommended?? Oh yes!
