Not good.
I am a contact lens wearer but keep glasses for emergencies and lost my glasses last week.

Rang specsavers to arrange an appointment for new glasses and they told me I had to have a sight test too, and was due for a contact lens appointment as well. Couldn't book both at once for at least 2 weeks. So, went this afternoon for contact lens appointment having booked eyesight test for new glasses for tomorrow.

After checking was told my prescription was fine, but I was wearing the wrong type of lenses. These are lenses I bought on line at the specsavers site where they sent me an email after purchase saying they would check my prescription before sending them to me. Clearly not, as I am now told I am wearing the wrong lenses and need different ones.

Specsavers would take no responsibility what so ever for the ones I bought on line, even though I bought them through specsavers. They gave me some guff about being different franchises. So I am now expected to fork out for new lenses and 'bin' the £100 of lenses I have at home bought from their website after they checked my prescription.

I was charged £20 for the privilege of having a 5 minute examination and being told this, and now have to go back, not only tomorrow for site test, but next week for a follow up and to order new lenses again.

Needless to say, I am currently looking for a new opticians.
