For the people that want to shop on the internet but havent got a credit or debit card or for the people that get into debt this is the card for you.
The splash plastic card is pre-pay which means you can only spend the money on the card, you put the money on the card before hand and then do your shopping.
The Splash Plastic card is good for the reasons that you cannot get in debt and you dont have to pay any extra money. So to get one of these cards all you have to do is go on the website www.splashplastic.com and signup, it tells you exactly the shops in your area were you can top-up the card and it also has links to some useful websites were you can shop and you can check out your account online.
To top up the card all you have to do is take the card and the money,(at least 10 pound and then its any amount even by penny) to a shop that has the logo (places like carphone warehouse) and they swipe the card and its on and then you can then by stuff of the net.
Places were you can shop...well the website has plenty of links but here is some of the places...cd wow, blockbuster,thorntons,countrybookshop.co.uk and gadgets.co.uk. You can buy anything from books, to clothes to cds, dvds, videos and also other stuff like play games online and buy ringtones.
Wats bad about the card? okay putting the money on the card isnt really much of a problem but it can be a pain as some shops dont even know about the card and dont know if they do it or not even though they do (so watch out for the logo its the pp sign in purple and yellow).Also you are restricted to places were you can shop, there is a good choice of shops and places like cd wow and 101cds.com which are cheap. dont forget you will still have to sign up to the online sites (cd wow) and pay through your card.
I would recommend this card as I think it is a good idea and it helps to buy stuff online but at the same time you are still restricted, its worth a try as its free, its easy to use and there isnt any age restriction on it, parents will have to sign up for it for children.

Advantages: Discounts on Virgin products, smart looking. Disadvantages: More suitable for now and again use than regular shopping sprees due to transaction fees.
