Advantages Advantages More accessible, awesome co-op modes, fantastic sound

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hardcore fans will find it too easy, brief campaign

Splinter Cell Conviction Stealth games are a bit of a conundrum. There can be immense satisfaction when you pull off the perfect kill and escape the crime scene unscathed, but there can also be immense frustration when you take a bullet to the head after being spotted. Splinter Cell Conviction, the fifth game in Ubisoft’s Critically Acclaim Tom Clancy franchise, is trying to draw a line between accessible but still challenging for the hardcore as well as make unique attempts at eliminating any Heads-Up-Display. Does it succeed or will this be hung on the noose? Hard Hitting Action If you ... more

Advantages Advantages Good graphics, fun and unique.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Really easy, can get boring and repetitive.

I've loved the Splinter Cell franchise for a while, and this was one of my main points of buying an Xbox 360, only to be disappointed by the stupidly easy AI, or if put on a higher difficulty, the stupidly difficult AI. Playing the game on normal difficulty, the AI are so braindead. It takes them a long time to detect you, and when they do, all it takes is to climb up something, and they're completely oblivious as to where you are. There were 2 men standing next to each other, I shot one of them, and the other guy didn't even notice. And when you put it on higher difficulty, the AI can detect ... more

Advantages Advantages Executions, new stealth gameplay, Sam Fisher is back!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Story is a bit short

Splinter Cell Conviction This is the best game I have played this year and including Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Mass Effect 2. The main reason for this is maybe that I was really hyped for Modern Warfare 2 and Mass Effect 2 and they didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Mass effect was too linear and CoD had a poor single player story compared to the first (this does not mean they weren’t great.) Anyway, the things that make Splinter Cell Conviction great are all the new things they have added and tweaked in order to revamp the series. Don’t get me wrong the traditional ... more

Advantages Advantages High Quality Audio-Visual Effects , Cinematic Scenes , Interesting Story , Good Mulitplayer Modes.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some challenges are difficult to complete.

Splinter Cell is a stealth game ,reknowned for being quite difficult to complete , some of the older games present great difficulty even during training, this however did not. This edition of Splinter Cell sees Sam Fisher return to hunt down who killed his beloved daughter Sarah , he is first contacted in a Market Place , and straight from the offset you indulge in some high octane action. The single player campaign involves you playing as Sam using the skills he aquired while working for Third Elechlon , he is highly trained and extremely dangerous , you use a variation of guns and gadgets ... more

Advantages Advantages Mark and execute, Speedy stealth, Great Co - op

Disadvantages Disadvantages Out of place Iraq mission, Too easy to escape enemies sight, Single player campaign is too short

Splinter Cell Conviction reinvents not only the series but the stealth genre. It is no longer about waiting for enemy A.I and moving slowly, it is now about actively hunting people in the shadows and being aware of other potential victims in your vicinity.Conviction sets itself apart from it's predecessors, the actions seems quicker and more intense whilst constantly pushing forward through the story, also there are no in game load screens (as long as you stay alive) and whenever a new level loads you seem to be pulled into a cut-scene which furthers the story. Another great new feature is ... more
