based on these works.Tom Clancy's Splinter Cellis one such release. This one is a bit different, however: it models itself on that champion of espionage,Metal Gear Solid 2, which, as it happens, is a good thing. As Sam Fisher, you are out to save the world from international terrorism. In doing this, stealth is of paramount importance.Splinter Cellmakes terrific use of light and shadows in this regard. If Sam Fisher stays in the dark, he is less likely to be seen; but, equipped with night vision goggles, you are not hindered by the lighting effects. It's a clever system that creates some memorable scenes and adds to the sensation of being undercover.Tom Clancy's Splinter Cellis a supremely balanced game. The initial training received is just long enough, gameplay is perfectly weighted between stealth and action, and the blend of different objectives in missions ensures that the experience never becomes a chore. More than being merely balanced, though,Splinter Cellexcels in all areas. This is as compelling a spy game as you'll ever play. --Jonti Davies

Sigh….. another crazy maniac is on the lose and threatens world peace (don’t these guys ever learn?). Sadono is giving the world leader the shits by treating the world with his stockpile of biological weapons and its once again up to super cool super Sam fisher to save us all. Sam works for a shadowy low profile government organisation called Third Echelon, which regularly work behind the scenes when such a crises arise. The game spans from different locations such as France, Israel, USA and many more. Each new location comes packed with unique challenges and game play elements.
-Game Play-
The Levels in Israel are urban areas, which are densely populated so there’s a barrel load of shimmying up pipes in order along the roof tops like cat burglar in some sense, sneaking around trough back alleys.
In Indonesia is it completely a different ball game. Here you will find you self slowly moving through tall grass and tents, disarming pesky landmines and disabling unsuspecting guards. The variety of locations will demand that you play, manoeuvre differently and this will defiantly keep you entertained.
There is a new mini-game that starts when Sam is about to defuse a bomb, which is very similar to the lock-picking sequences. It's not too difficult, but it does manage to add a bit of tension if you know that guards are nearby and approaching.
Also a screen that comes up at the end of every level basically this is all most like a stats report ranging from the amount of sounds created to number of alarms tripped. This is very benefits people who like to know how stealthy they are and how well of badly they have preformed.
-Weapons Gadgets-
Those of you who have played the previous version will be glad to know that your good old SC20K assault rifle and silenced pistol will be making a return along with most of the other gadgets and weapons. The SC20K will still come equipped and loaded with a lot of the same gadgets from the old game such as the sticky camera, the diversion camera, airfoil to knock the guards out cold and every one’ favourite the sticky shocker. For those of you who are not too familiar with the sticky shocker, fire this little baby at your enemy preferably at the region were it hurts most (he he he) this will give him a nasty shock making him spasm and moan before hitting the ground (this never fails to make me laugh). The cool thing about this thing is that you can take out a group of baddies provided that there are standing in a puddle of water, simply fire it and watch them drop dead (I think). You are also provided with a fiberoptic wire which allows you to spy on a room before storming it, a camera jammer to foil big brother, night and thermal goggles, lock picks and tonnes more.
-Bad points-
LOADING TIME!!!!! This is nightmare in this game. At every checkpoint in a level the game will load this is the biggest flaw/mistake of this game and it is pretty frustrating. For example although very rare, you will pass a couple of guard only to meet another lengthy loading screen, which really disrupts the pacing of the game. Only matters are made worse if you die since the wait between and rebirth takes longer than the average game. It gets even more annoying because splinter cell is is one of those game were you have to do trail and error. If you cant make it through a level one way, you will have to keep trying to find the right path until you do.
-Value for money-
Well if certainly don’t let the loading time put you off this is a really good game, the X-Box version is much better than the GC version and so is the PS version. This is one game for people who enjoy a stealthy game and not one for those who a trigger happy nut.
