Spore one of the most highly sort after games ever since the dawn of time is due to be hitting our screens at the end of this year. Created by the highly rewarded developer Will Wright (The Sims, Sim City, Sim City 2000). If his career in the gaming industry had not already reached gold status, his latest and possibly greatest project Spore will no doubt further break him away from the pack. In Spore you will find yourself able to create and evolve your own life force, from the tiniest single cell organism at the dawn of time to your own highly intelligent being. To put it simply this is one of those moments where next generation gaming really shows how developers can push the boundaries, and actually be god.
Spore is named after how it all begins. Everything in life started somewhere and in this game you will find yourself looking down on something that your cat coughed up. At this stage in your micro organisms life you will find themselves floating round in a pool avoiding the larger organisms that want to eat you up, and eating the little ones until your creature is ready to evolve to the next level, you do this by clicking on a little egg which in turn takes you to the evolution screen where you can shape your little beast further. From the start you may be easily fooled in to thinking this game is very basic, as it looks like your playing a game you could find on miniclip. But its after that first stage where thinks start getting interesting.
So say we zoom ten generations down the road, you will find that your little creature has gone from an organism, to a monster of the sea, to a underdeveloped land creature.. and so and so forth. What makes this game interesting is even though your creature looks non human you basically play out the evolution of man... because after you have made it on to land.. developed your creature more, created cities.. you can span out in to space!
That's right and once in space you can visit other worlds that have been made from fellow players.. that can be downloaded off the master server which will be adding things throughout your beings life. So lets put this in comparison.. if a hundred people in your town played.. that's 100 worlds to explore.. if gamers all over the world play? Well kind of speaks for itself.. no?
Okay now a place I love to check out to find out about games is www.gametrailers.com, no i do not work for them or in anyway want to promote them.. but here you can check out this game in lots of depth.
Go to http://www.gametrailers.com/game/2671.html and once there you can see the latest videos for this game, and see how over time your character can develop in to characters.
Thats all for now, but just keep an eye out for this game its due out September 2008 (this year) and will most certainly be one of the top contenders for game of the year.
As Soho_Black and scream4bruce have pointed out, it's not helpful to review a game that you haven't played and isn't available for purchase yet. There is no way you could know what the game is like, whether it has bugs and playability issues...

Now the game are you going to review it? Sorry for sounding harsh, and giving you a NU, but I really don't think it is right to review trailers.

Unfortunately, you cannot possibly review something that isn't available yet with any degree of certainty.
