Spore, may I just say wow. Me and my friend very luckily were able to play a peak preview of it at a technology conference we went to in America. Creator: Will Right a living legend in the gaming world creator of such games as The Sims, The Sims 2, The sim city series and many more.
Before I start I would like to say do not judge this game on any other games you have played before it is totally different. Especially do not judge it on Spore Creature Creator which many of you have, it is only really a taster to the real game. Spore has been in developing for near 4 years now which is a long time to develop a game and its release date was delayed and delayed and delayed again until it finally settled on September 08.
Well to play the game your computer will have to have a decent graphics card no Intel combined ones, I would recommend having at least a 128MB dedicated graphics card and 1GB of ram because if not you might end up with some serious lag (slowing up of the game). If spore creature creator played fine on your computer it doesn't necessarily mean that Spore will play fine too.
You start of life in the game as a molecule in a drop of water and you swim about eating microrganisms, as you do so the camera slowly zooms out revealing more area and bigger life forms. As you steadily develop through the game you will move onto the land and become land based. When you first move onto the land I think you are a slug based creatures. So you move on and eat and attack other creatures and finally you can mate after this happens you will see a small egg appear on the screen. This is where the game starts to become fun, you can then develop your creature as it would thought evolution. And to do this you can use spore creature creator to add features to your animal.
The Five stage of Spore are as follows Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization , Space. You can choose to skip to any of these stages during the game the most interesting would be space. So your character develops it finally reaches space at this point you can leave the planet you developed on and move on to other planets which are in the game. Every time you create something it automatically gets beamed up to the big EA server and the disturbed back down to everyone's games. In effect most of what you see in the game will have been created by someone. Your planet will be part of a solar system which you can explore. You can also go further into space and go to other people planets and solar systems which are all in a big galaxy. Over time as more people play it there will be more galaxies to explore.
When you are in the space age you can travel in a spaceship or saucer you design. Using that you can mould and manipulate your planets and other planets. You could pump co gas into the the atmosphere and heat up the planet, carve water ways, and build mountains.
Will Rights vision was a mass of planets and world galaxies and solar systems that you could change, mould and create a living virtual universe also while you play to learn about the world around you.: Spore
